1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to 17Quantum. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the 17Quantum platform, including our website (17quantum.com), mobile applications, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and 17Quantum, a company registered in Nigeria (RC4900499) with its principal place of business at Plot 234 Pride Complex, Maitama, Abuja, Nigeria.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform. If you are between 16 and 18 years old, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Platform.

By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we deem harmful to the Platform, other users, or third parties.

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to access the Platform will immediately cease.

4. Platform Services

4.1 Educational Content

17Quantum provides quantum computing education through:

• Online courses and learning materials
• Interactive simulations and coding environments
• Assessments and certifications
• Community forums and peer learning
• AI-powered learning assistance

4.2 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of services.

5. Payment and Subscriptions

5.1 Fees and Billing

Some Platform services require payment. By subscribing to paid services, you agree to:

• Pay all applicable fees and charges
• Provide accurate payment information
• Authorize recurring charges for subscription services
• Pay all applicable taxes

5.2 Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for course purchases. To request a refund:

• Request must be made within 14 days of purchase
• Course progress must be less than 30% completed
• Contact support@17quantum.com with your refund request

Refunds are not available for subscription renewals or after the 14-day period expires.

5.3 Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Platform Content Ownership

All content on the Platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, videos, code, software, and course materials ("Platform Content"), is owned by 17Quantum or our licensors and protected by Nigerian and international copyright laws.

6.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use Platform Content for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not:

• Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display Platform Content
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works
• Use automated systems to access or scrape the Platform
• Remove copyright or proprietary notices
• Use Platform Content for commercial purposes

6.3 User-Generated Content

When you post content on the Platform (forum posts, comments, project submissions), you:

• Retain ownership of your content
• Grant 17Quantum a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display your content
• Represent that you have rights to share the content
• Agree not to post content that violates third-party rights

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Transmit harmful, abusive, or offensive content
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Distribute viruses, malware, or malicious code
• Engage in fraudulent activities
• Share account credentials with others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
• Interfere with Platform operations or other users' access

8. Certificates and Academic Credit

17Quantum offers certificates of completion for courses. However:

• Certificates are not accredited academic degrees
• Acceptance of certificates for academic credit is at the discretion of educational institutions
• We do not guarantee employment or career advancement
• Certificates may be verified through our online verification system

9. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING:

• Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of content
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Security or freedom from viruses

We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes, job placements, or career advancement as a result of using the Platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, 17QUANTUM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses
• Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
• Damages from errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in content
• Personal injury or property damage from Platform use

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to 17Quantum in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₦10,000, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 17Quantum, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12.2 Arbitration

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Abuja, Nigeria, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act of Nigeria. The arbitration shall be conducted in English by a single arbitrator.

12.3 Exception for Small Claims

Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court in lieu of arbitration.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will:

• Post updated Terms on the Platform
• Update the "Last updated" date
• Notify users via email for material changes

Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
